Temperatures in May and June  are very warm, with July and August being the two hottest months of the year - often reaching above 40°C. September is warm like May and the sea and skies stay warm until the middle of October. It becomes a little cooler in November and December and it’s a good time to go hill walking in Sicily. Marausa Lido’s Beaches There are three main beaches in Marausa Lido, Trapani and all are within a 23-to-250 metre walk (5-10 minutes walk) of our holiday villas and apartments. They are child friendly, free to use, wide, sandy, and with free parking should you wish to drive. The Marausa Lido bay is quite shallow and of its 4km coastline, nearly 2km of it comprises sandy beaches popular with locals trying to escape the busy beaches in Trapani. There are two permanent bar/restaurants, and two additional beach bars with playground, sun-loungers and lifeguards during the summer. Motorboats can also be hired at the small marina. The beaches are hot enough for bathing from May until October, but quieter outside of July and August. Hydrofoils, ferries, local roads and motorways will take you to the places shown in the photos below. Many places like Trapani, San Vito, Favignana, Castellamare have parascending, diving, pedalo hire and banana boat rides during the summer months. Elsewhere, you will find tranquil coves such as Scopello Lo Zingaro for an idyllic day at the beach. Hold your mouse over an image for beach details and the approximate driving time in minutes.    Marine Life & Diving For the budding divers amongst you we recommend you bring your snorkel and mask as there are many beaches and underwater reefs to explore along the coastline in the Trapani and Palermo regions, - particularly the Marine Nature Reserves of the Zingaro, Ustica and the Egadi Islands. If you are a qualified diver, you will be able to hire tanks and diving gear at certain beaches and islands - particularly on the Egadi Islands.
